Somerset Municipal Court

Mission Statement

The Village of Somerset Municipal Court oversees non-criminal traffic and ordinance violations, keeping in mind the safeguard of individuals’ rights and protection of public interest.

For those initial appearances that are not mandatory, the plea sheet may be filled out stating either #1 guilty or #2 no contest with space provided for you to inform the court information you would like to be considered during sentencing. Additional options are located on the plea sheet and under court procedures, definition of pleas.

Court Hours

Court hours are held in the evening when it is most convenient for most peoples work schedules: 

• Juveniles - 5:00 PM
• Indigency Hearings - 5:30 PM
• Adult Initial Appearance - 6:00 PM

Office Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00 am - 4:00 p.m., except for wednesday court night hours are later & Friday 9:00 am - 12:00 PM

Court Conduct

Remember that you are in a Court of law. While you are waiting for your case to be heard,please remain quiet while Court is in session and give others the courtesy to be heard while they present their case. Please turn off cell phones and pagers and remove hats.
